When I began my journey in environmental advocacy, it was with a simple idea: reducing plastic waste in my hometown of Veracruz, Mexico. Little did I know, this small step would lead to a global movement.
The Beginning
My project started with weekend beach cleanups. Armed with nothing but gloves and garbage bags, our small group of volunteers set out to make a difference. The immediate results were rewarding, but I quickly realized that cleanups alone wouldn’t solve the underlying issue of plastic pollution.
Expanding the Vision
Driven by a desire to create lasting change, I shifted focus towards community education and recycling initiatives.
